Recognition Goes to Ohio K-12 School Website for its Impact at National Level

An Ohio K-12 school district pulls in a national Best Education Website award for its form and function by the Web Marketing Association.

The site, designed and hosted by Columbus-based eSchoolView was named the 2017 winner from thousands of entries. Chagrin Falls Schools was one of just two public K-12 school systems among the 19 educational organizations recognized in the national awards program. A second eSchoolView site -- West Allegheny Schools in Pennsylvania -- was noted as an Education Standard of Excellence.

Chagrin Falls Schools’ tailor-made site brings a dramatic new appearance and capability to the district's web presence. Intuitive navigation, an emphasis on crisp graphics and a prominent photo gallery are key elements to the new design. Less emphasis on text also increases interaction between the site and end-user.

The Web Marketing Association announces the winners of its 21th annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. Entries in 96 industry categories were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. A complete list of the winning sites can be found at the WebAward Web site at www.webaward.org.

“We work to create sites that build relationships and trust,” eSchoolView Executive Director Rob O’Leary said. “The opportunity to create a method to efficiently and effectively share information between and among staff, parents and the community is one we take quite seriously.”

eSchoolView has served Chagrin Falls Schools for about seven years. The site redesign was launched just before the start of the 2016-17 school year and deepens the district's ability to connect with its community.

The mobile performance of Chagrin Falls Schools’ site also improved dramatically with eSchoolView's responsive design. It is now optimized to display on a variety of platforms and devices, eliminating the need for duplicate data entries in order to manage two sites.

“A successful website must communicate timely, accurate information in a manner that can easily be navigated while demonstrating the quality of the organization,” Chagrin Falls Schools’ Superintendent Robert Hunt said. “We are proud of the collaborative work we have done with our partners at eSchoolView in creating a website that truly represents our school district to our community.”

eSchoolView builds custom websites for K-12 schools — public, private, charter and faith-based — with its easy-to-use and other integrated products. The CMS platform helps districts expand their reach with the ability to embed blogs, surveys, RSS feeds, e-newsletters, podcasts, videos and other tools.

OneView, one of eSchoolView's newest products, allows school districts to read and push data back into various student information systems (SIS), such as ProgressBook, PowerSchool or eSchoolPlus. In turn, the software increases internal efficiency and parent engagement through one login.

eSchoolView was created in 2008. Its revenue growth lands the company on the Inc. Magazine's 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. for the fourth consecutive year.
